FAQ

  • What should I bring to use in the sauna?

Bring two towels—one to sit on and one to dry off with.
Bring plenty of water (hydration is essential).
Optional: a robe, sandals, and layers for stepping outside between rounds.
At public events, we often serve warm tea and create a simple, calming environment—but you are welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable.
Most importantly, bring an open mind, a willingness to slow down, and a respect for the heat.

  • What’s included in a sauna rental?

*Full access to the wood-fired sauna (with rocks for löyly)

*A bucket + ladle for pouring steam

    * Firewood for the duration of the rental

    * Delivery, setup, and instructions on safe use

    * LED lantern or soft lighting inside

    * A simple welcome guide with temperature guidance and safety tips

  • What should I wear?

For public sauna events, swimsuits are required.

For private rentals, you may sauna in a swimsuit or wrapped towel—whatever makes you comfortable.

We encourage clean, breathable fabrics and no lotions, creams, or makeup that may affect the heat or wood.

  • Are there age requirements?

For public events: 18+ only, for safety and comfort.

    For rentals:
Children should participate only under close adult supervision, and only take shorter, cooler rounds, as young bodies can’t regulate heat as effectively. Elderly guests or those with medical conditions should consult their physician and enjoy the sauna in shorter increments.

Use good judgment, listen to your body, and always err on the side of caution.

  • How many people fit in the sauna?

Our sauna comfortably fits 6–8 people, depending on size and seating arrangement.
With two bench levels, guests can choose between gentler heat (lower bench) or traditional Finnish heat (upper bench).

  • How long does it take to heat up and how hot does it get?

A traditional Finnish sauna typically 45–60 minutes to heat up depending on weather.

Temperatures range from 160–190°F, depending on fire intensity and how much steam (löyly) is added.

For beginners or mixed groups, we recommend starting cooler and increasing the heat gradually.
